The third in the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership collaborative webinars with the Growth Company about the Build Back Better movement took place last week, with our GMLEP co-chair Mo Isap Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, GMCA Lead For Economy Cllr Elise Wilson and Chief Executive of the Growth Company, Mark Hughes.

The webinar was facilitated by Michael Taylor – the Head of Regional Affairs for Manchester Metropolitan University.

The one hour session which had hundreds of viewers, revisited the city-region’s emerging Build Back Better narrative for economic recovery from the coronavirus crisis, with discussions about key business initiatives happening in Greater Manchester such as the Young Person’s Guarantee, GM Tech Fund, Bridge GM and the Good Employment Charter.

The panel also covered the challenges and opportunities that have arisen through re-opening Greater Manchester, businesses coming out of furlough, and redundancy planning.
