Electricity North West is taking its teams on the road to meet with businesses and communities in a Future Energy Roadshow.

As the region’s network operator, Electricity North West is playing a key role in this energy revolution. It aims to make sure Greater Manchester’s network is fit for the future, to meet the changing needs of local customers and to help the city-region lead the way on our journey to net zero. To do this, Electricity North West has committed to invest £1.8 billion between 2023-2028.

The Future Energy Roadshow will bring together Electricity North West’s distribution system operation, net zero for businesses support and flexible services teams to meet with local communities & businesses interested in the transition to net zero.

On Tuesday 15 November from 1 pm to 6 pm, the teams will be at Stand Cricket Club in Whitefield, Bury to answer questions from local business owners and residents. The event is designed for walk-ins at a time that best suits you.

The free event is open to anyone with an interest in the future of energy and net zero including businesses, individuals or community groups. It aims to raise awareness of how to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.

Advisors from Electricity North West’s Net Zero for Business Support Team will be in attendance.

This team’s main aim is to help North West businesses reduce their energy bills and carbon emissions. At this event, they will be able to offer local businesses personalised support about their energy use, infrastructure and more, as well as link them to further initiatives from the Bee Net Zero partnership.

Electricity North West is a partner of Greater Manchester’s Bee Net Zero initiative which aims to make Greater Manchester the easiest place in the UK to become a net zero business. The initiative offers impartial advice and guidance to businesses at all stages of the net zero journey, whether they’re making the first steps or already on their way.

The Bee Net Zero initiative can offer training and knowledge sharing as well as help businesses to suppliers, offering technical support which gives the confidence to invest.
